Jen and Ernesto had the most beautiful wedding last Saturday at Mission Inn Resort in Howey in the Hills, Florida. It’s amazing they didn’t meet sooner than they did since they both went to college together and had many of the same friends but none of them ever thought about setting Jen and Ernesto up with each other. Hearing the maid of honor talk about this during her toast was amusing to hear how perfect they are together but how none of the saw it until they were officially together.
The weather could not have been more perfect to welcome there friends and family for their ceremony on the lawn. Instead of doing a first look they did a first touch so they could say a few words to each other. They also gave each other gifts before the ceremony and it is always fun to watch them open these as we feel like we are in the inner circle of seeing so many of the special moments of the day. Ernesto bought Jen a custom embroidered blanket because they love to snuggle on the couch together and watch tv. Jen bought Ernesto a handsome pocket watch with a special message engraved along with a handkerchief and a book telling their love story. Jen also bought a large variety of handkerchiefs for the guests to grab as they sat down for the ceremony. And at the reception she had flip flops for the ladies to take a rest from their heels and dance the night away. A special moment to watch was Jen’s dad, who is suffering from Parkinson’s disease, walk her down the aisle as tears fell from his face. And seeing him smile as they danced their father daughter dance was so touching. The funniest moment of the night goes to the waiter as he was corking a bottle of champagne a guest had just given the couple so they could toast and the cork went flying in the air, hit the ceiling, and came back down to bop Jen on the head. They ended the night with la hora loca ( the crazy hour)! It was such a beautiful day with an awesome group and amazing vendors making the day go off perfectly!
