Daniela and Sean’s Vintage Old World Howey Mansion Wedding

How They Met

Daniela and Sean were high school sweethearts and met while we were doing a production of Into The Woods. They even ventured back to the their hometown to shoot their engagement photos on the stage at their old high school where it all began!

The Wedding

So much thought went into every last detail of their wedding day and it was just breathtaking.  From the sunset ceremony surrounded by candlelight, to the beauty of The Howey Mansion as their backdrop it was just so romantic!  We knew it was going to be a fun day when we showed up to find all the women in vintage style floor length robes complete with feather trim!!  It was like walking back in time to the early 1900’s when The Howey Mansion was built.  Most of the wedding party were in theatre or show choir with Daniela and Sean so we were surrounded by fun and entertaining personalities for the day which it made it a blast!  The bridesmaids wore gold sequined dresses as a nod to their show choir days gold glitter uniforms.  Each girl was also gifted with a unique piece of jewelry supporting a charity that’s important to each of them.

The guys were down the long hall hanging out and eating the new famous Popeye’s Chicken sandwiches (and yes we were jealous since neither of us had yet to try one.)  Each of the groommen were given a personalized gaucho knife that represents a special moment in our Daniela and Sean’s relationship  when Daniela’s Abuelo gave Sean a gaucho knife that was passed down to him from his family in Argentina.  Sean’s dad had passed away and was a pilot so Sean and the groomsmen each wore wings instead of boutonnieres and it was just so touching.

Family is very important to them and they wanted to incorporate some important details to show honor and love to those that are not with them anymore.  The flavor of the cake was chosen for Daniela’s Argentine background and reminded her of the times she used to sit and have Dulce de Leche with her Abuelo.  During the reception the immediate family snuck out to do a lantern release in honor of Sean’s dad who passed away.  They each wrote a special note as well.  (Although because of fire safety it was lit with a light and then placed in the fountain.)

They wanted a romantic feel for the day and a candle lined aisle at sunset with candles decorating the alter set the perfect stage.  When they first contacted us she told us she knew she had to have us to photograph her wedding because our detail when it comes to shooting night shots.  It was a pure dream of a ceremony to be in the dark with candles for us!  As Daniela walked down the aisle to her prince charming the sky was painted into the most beautiful sunset.  And as they kissed twilight’s blue sky was the perfect compliment to the amber lined aisle of candles they walked through into the next chapter of their lives together.
