How They Met

Becca and Zack both worked in radiology at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida but it took an online dating app for them to finally meet.  Being that the hospital is so large with multiple locations, their paths had never crossed.  As fate would have it, these two radiologists would fall in love and get married.

The Wedding

Their wedding day was just a intimate and joyful as these two!  With the last name of “Heart”on they themed their hashtag #followyourhearton and even planted heart shaped bamboo during their ceremony as a symbol of their unity.  Just like the bamboo, their marriage will learn to bend with each other but never break.  Becca’s sweet mom walked her down the aisle and it was very apparent to everyone that her dad, who passed away just weeks earlier, was missing from the occasion.  Her dad was a composer of music and his guitar and picture of him were sat where he would have sat during the reception.  Instead of tears shed, there was much joy, laughter and love knowing he was ever present with them.  Their cake topper oh so accurately expressed them.   It showcased a scuba diver and a mermaid (for his passion for scuba diving and her love for mermaids.)  The bottle of wine they shared with their first meal as husband and wife was one they bought together while on a trip to Europe last year.  While the weather was just perfect all day, they brought a blanket with “just married” personalized on the back for the chiller evening boat ride they took at the end of the night.  It was a perfect day for two very special people!
