April and Kyle’s Fairy Tale Orlando Disney Wedding

Posted On | Weddings by

April and Kyle’s fairy tale Disney wedding was just what you would expect.  It was magical, beautiful and full of majesty.  April and Kyle met working for Arctic Cat on a winter snowmobile photo shoot.  Kyle chased her for 9 months before April gave in and went on a date with him.  April loves Disney and knew she wanted to have a destination wedding there.  Their family and friends traveled with them from Minnesota to celebrate not just on their wedding day but for the whole week with visits to all the parks and lot of fun.

A lot of planning went into every single detail of the day.  Carol from Disney Fairy Tale Weddings went above and beyond to help execute all the ideas April had for their special day.  April and Kyle love to go gem mining and a lot of special touches center around that.  April’s hair piece is made of  quartz crystals they found in Arizona.  The place cards are agate slices.  At the reception they had a Gem Mining station set up for the kids to have fun in, although we did catch April and Kyle over there as well.  One of the favors was a cookie that looked like it had gems on it.  Kyle even surprised April right before walking down the aisle with a necklace, earrings and bracelet they both have been eyeing for a long time.

The reception at Narcoossee’s had a Beauty and the Beast theme.  The cake was just stunning!  And the tables were filled with red roses and stacked books.  Each person at the head table had their own personal moscow mule copper mug as a gift.  Another favor guests left with was salt water taffy, Kyle’s favorite.  And see if you can spy all the little girls dresses as princesses.

Photos were VERY important to April and Kyle.  Because of this she set aside several hours for us to run around Disney property and capture them all over.  After their brunch and all the guests had headed off to rest before the dessert party that night, we headed out on our photo adventure.  We started at the Grand Floridian and were even able to snag a photo in front of their huge Christmas tree.  Then we boarded the monorail and headed over to the Polynesian Hotel.  With it’s lush landscape and water falls it made for a beautiful backdrop.  And we even made it over to one of my favorite secret locations with the old, old tree.  Then back on the monorail we went and headed over to the Contemporary Hotel to capture the sunset the walkway off of California Grill with the castle in the background.  And we ended the shoot with a nighttime shot in front of the Grand Floridan.  It was magical!

We finished the night with a fun dessert party at the Grand Floridian Resort marina.  With an assortment of desserts including the “grey” stuff and a liquid nitrogen dessert bar, the guests were filled with sugar.  April had done her research to see what days Mickey’s Holiday Party has been on in the past.  She made a guess and picked their date in hopes that she would have the Holiday Fireworks show.  And she was!  It really is the most beautiful fireworks display, including and finale with a panoramic display of fireworks.  And with the fireworks came the end to a beautiful day celebrating an amazing couple!
